A suite of successful Australian entrepreneurs have bought into digital gifting business Shouta™, which has surged through COVID-19, as people and enterprises look for new forms of gifts.
Aconex’s Rob Phillpot, Carsales’ Steve Kloss, and urban.com.au’s Mike Bird and George Glover have also bought into the company’s $1 million seed funding round.
Shouta™ co-founder Carly Shamgar has scored funding from a range of notable entrepreneurs for her digital gifting App.
Untitled Group’s Michael Christidis and Tom Caw have also invested, as did ex-general manager of Commonwealth Bank’s private business, Amanda Coombs.
The business, which enables people to “shout” their friends, family or colleagues, a drink, a meal, a manicure or many other forms of so-called “nano” gifts, was founded by Carly Shamgar and Nick Redwood in January 2020, and launched in December last year.
